Band T-Shirts.

The other day I was having a conversation with one of my friends and we started talking about band t-shirts. I had made the statement that I would have bought a t-shirt at a concert I had attended but they were all very masculine. I was referring to the design on the front of the shirt but my friend pointed out that many women complain about the fit of band t-shirts.  The biggest complainant seems to be the fit is unflattering, baggy and on petite girls, the shoulder seems and sleeves hang down excessively far. I had never thought of this before seeing as how I can wear a men’s size small and look just fine. I realize I am not like most women though I have very broad shoulders for a girl, and even though the unisex/masculine cut of most band t-shirts is not very flattering on me and I can manage to accessorize and pull the look off.  Some bands do offer baby doll women’s cuts in there t-shirts, but honestly most the baby doll cut t-shirts with bands on them are solid in large change stores and have only legendary but defunct bands on them. Therefore, until more band t-shirts find themselves offered in women flattering styles I have rummaged through some sets on polyvore.com to provide some suggestions on how to pull them off unfaltering cut and all.

I love this jacket

This jacket by 3.1 Phillip Lim is amazing. It is also way out of my budget, but I can still look at the photos of it and drool. $1,750 at netaporter.com

Plaid

I admit this skirt is a little odd, after all for me it has a country meets grunge feel. For some odd reason I like it a lot and can see it being a good staple wardrobe piece for the fall.

Leggings flashback.

$20
I am quite fond of these leggings even though they have an early 90’s feel to them. I keep thinking of pairing them with a denim mini and a band t-shirt. $20 lulus.com

Time for cardigans.

There is nothing I like wearing more in the fall then cardigan sweaters. I blame my obsession on my daily watching of Mr. Rogers when I was a child.
At any rate check out some cardigans I came across on freepeople.com, and expect more cardigan posts as fall approaches.

The perfect sweater dress.

I seem to have a weakness for sweater dresses in general for whatever reason. I love the cut of this dress, simple yet feminine. The natural color makes it versatile and a smart edition to any wardrobe. $88 at fossil.com

Rainbow Bright Idea

I love the bright colors and one shoulder style of this dress.
It could be interesting to pair it with some shiny black leggings, high-heeled gladiator sandals and a clutch purse.

Curiouser and curioser

These Alice in wonderland-inspired tees are like little pieces of artwork. They are as adorable in person as online and oh so comfortable. I own the rabbit tee and have gotten many compliments on it. I plan to get the Cheshire cat one too. Only thing is they run big so you may want to order a size down from what you usually wear. $28 each at urban outfitters.
