Tomorrow Morning.

Photobucket

Even though it is being billed as third album in trilogy (the first two being Hombre Lobo and End Times) Tomorrow Morning stands out on it’s own as an amazing work. The mix of sweet and uplifting lyrics with drum machines and electronic sounds is just plan genius. Of course when are the Eels (really just comprised of Mark Oliver Everett) not brilliant? My favorite tracks are Baby loves me, I’m a humming bird, What I have to offer and This is where it gets good.

Two rocking performances.

I Just stumbled across some lives performances today while wasting time looking around on you tube. The first is of Eels performing on Jimmy Kimmel live, and the second one is of Bat For Lashes performing on David Letterman.

Here are Eels performing Tremendous Dynamite off the Album Hombre Lobo.
(You have to love E’s beard and vocals).

Here is Bat for Lashes performing the song Daniel off the album Two Suns.
(Natasha Khan rocks, she has the most enchanting stage presence)
Go to 1:09 in to skip David Letterman's intro of them if you wish.

Eels Again.

Okay yeah at this point I might be obsessed, but I just wanted to share the song “That look you give that guy” off their new album Hombre Lobo. It is quickly becoming one of my favorite love songs of all time. Therefore, when I came across the video of the song I just had to share. I could not resist how cute and furry he is with those big sad eyes, and the dog is cute too. ; )
I promise after this we will return to are regularly scheduled programming.

EELS

Hombre Lobo EELS
I have developed what might be an unhealthy obsession with Eels new album Hombre Lobe. It has been the only thing playing on my i-pod for the past few weeks. Mark Everett's vocals are spot on sexy perfection on some songs, and a curious blend of sexiness, sweetness and sadness on others.. Every song on the album is good, but a handful of songs are downright brilliant.
Songs in addicted to, and highly recommend listening too are:
Fresh Blood.
Tremendous dynamite.
Prizefighter.
My timing is off.
That look you give that guy.
What's a fellow gotta do.
